SHOW NOTES:
We are discussing women's psychology and relationships with men. The conversation suggests that there are differences between the ways men and women relate to one another and highlights the importance of not expecting a man to fulfill roles typically served by female friends and vice versa. We emphasize the unique dynamics present in male-female interactions.
Evolutionary Psychologists speak of the differences in gamete numbers in males and females as causing very different evolutionary mating strategies.
However, that’s only speaking to the animal instincts driving behavior, NOT personality styles, emotional processes of falling in a lasting love monogamously, nor all the features of high character maturity that need mindfulness, personal boundaries, and constructive, mature decisions in finding just one mate who is right for life.
In fact, the human brain is made and wired to find “just one soulmate for life".
